Advanced EVS Python Training, July 21st-23rd 2025

C Tech will be holding a 3 day, in person seminar in Cambridge, MA (Boston area) on July 21st-23rd. The cost will be $1800/attendee.

If you are interested in attending this in person training, please reach out to C Tech immediately. C Tech is purposefully keeping the maximum size very small due to the nature of material covered, and we expect the seminar to sell out quickly. Spots will be a first come, first served basis.

This is a unique chance to make significant improvements to your ability to use Python within EVS, as well learn new and better ways to create and work with web scenes. Because it will be roughly 15 hours of niche instruction we aren’t sure if we’ll ever offer it as a video or video series. While we understand that this is short notice, any user who has even very small amounts of experience with scripting EVS can gain significant improvements to their productivity and ability to make unique, rich outputs within EVS.

Feel free to reach out to support@ctech.com if you have any questions or would be interested in more information.

The class will be a 3 day, advanced seminar specifically on using Python within the EVS environment. We would focus nearly entirely on integrating the use of Python and EVS, and include many topics outside of our normal training materials, including:

  • Utilizing the EVS Python environment directly to automate and drive EVS
  • Leveraging the new Python Interactive window
  • Using custom Python environments and libraries, including working with Anaconda
  • Write EVS data directly to Excel
  • Creating models for sites with multiple analytes with different kriging requirements (log vs linear, different anisotropy requirements, etc)
  • Creating CTWS files for multi analyte sites including proper handling of different reporting levels, multiple datamaps, and more
  • Utilizing FGR combined with Excel and CTWS to analyze quality of models and kriging in detail
  • Generating high quality charts and graphs from EVS results
  • Combining features to create more complex output, such as outputting volumetrics information in Excel reports while generating CTWS files
  • Using the Enterprise license automation capabilities to drive EVS and generate outputs without user intervention
