Mining is an industry whose product is buried beneath the surface. The mining industry has long embraced 3D technology, and Earth Volumetric Studio offers a bold new approach with the power and flexibility to address the needs at any stage of mining, from geophysics, to exploration and assessment, to mining operations.
Earth Volumetric Studio was used to model a coal mine in Columbia during all stages from early site exploration to mine operations. Studio is able to model the stratigraphic geology and quantify the coal volumes and qualities as well as the overburden associated with various non-coal layers.
C Tech’s distributor in Italy collected the geophysical data below at a coal mine in Africa. The Electrical Resistivity Tomography data was able to clearly identify the coal seam as well as a fault which displaced the seam.
