If you are a demo user be sure to CHECK "Run in Demo Mode" before Launching Applications. The demo version will not allow you to analyze or visualize data files created with the extension because they are not password protected. When "Run in Demo Mode" is checked, the default data files for each application (ones with passwords) will be used.
At this point you can select "Launch Application" from the EVS pull down menu---or continue to create other data files (.geo, .gmf, or .pgf). When you select "Launch Application" it will run the C Tech Application Preview and Launch Menu and only show you those applications that are available to you based on the data files that you have specified or created. When we do it now, we will only have "chemistry only" applications.
Please note: If you are a licensed user, you should select the appropriate "Version to Run" and UNCHECK "Run in Demo Mode".
The center window (showing your selected application) will be blank until you select an application from the list on the right. Note that the application highlighted is an EVS-PRO or MVS only application. It will not run with EVS for ArcView. (Remember that this entire product consists of an ArcView extension that is compatible with all versions of EVS and MVS.
Before we hit OK, we'll select the application above this one (krig3d_3_ortho_slices) because for this example, I'm running EVS for ArcView.

When you click OK, several things start happening automatically. First, the application you selected is copied to xxtemp.v (in the ctech\applications\AVapps directory). Next, the default file names which are "$XP_PATH<0>/data/pregeology/3d_exp.csv" (or .geo, .gmf, etc.) are changed to match the files that you've specified or created. Then, EVS (or MVS) is launched running this application, with all parameters automatically set and all modules running. The C Tech Viewer and message console will appear with the application running. After kriging is done you will see the following:
Note that the module selector list is a pull down menu on the Viewer (as well as the network editor). You have access to all parameters in all of the modules in the application. (Allowing you to re-krige or change any settings). The bottom of the viewer shows the currently selected module. When applications are first loaded, the selected module may not be visible. To view the user interface for any module, merely select it in the pull down menu.
After running a particular application in EVS for ArcView (or any other version of C Tech’s software), you can return to the C Tech Application Preview and Launch Menu by selecting it in the File menu in the C Tech main window. When you return, the C Tech Application Preview and Launch Menu will look a little different because you are not given the choice of what software version to run (since you are already running it!). Upon returning you will have the same application choices as before and the window will look like:
